Welcome to Exo Warehouse. We are a young business who, after operating retail furniture stores in Perth, Western Australia, wanted to offer our products to those people who, for usually geographical reasons, we could not with a brick-and-mortar shop. We still maintain the traditional kind of shop fronts and we encourage all to visit.

Applying what we know about retailing, our aim is to provide our customers with the same kind of experience as you might expect in one of our stores. This is something as we see as valuable to the online experience when making purchases or just generally browsing.


Website

This is a website that is built is built upon two main ideas that, until now, we think have been missing on the internet: Customer Service and Presentation. What do we mean by Customer Service and Presentation? Well, we would be happy to explain.


Customer Service

Customer Service is something that is often considered to be a concession when making purchases on the internet. It is easy to just assume that, if you can’t see the people that work in the online store, then either there is no-one to assist you with your purchase decisions or, in the alternative, they are not really that interested in helping. At Exo Warehouse, we recognise that every purchase is important to the buyer. Whether it is a furniture cover or a whole setting, we would like to help in any way we can in making the purchase as easy as possible.

With this in mind, every product that you can click on has a clearly marked ‘Ask’ button thereby allowing you to send an email to one of our helpful staff to assist you with any questions or requests. On the issue of communication, we also encourage you to call us if you have anything you would like to discuss or simply send us an instant message ( on MSN Messenger) that we will quickly respond to.

Living in Australia, we are faced with massive distances between cities and towns. We realise that certain groups of people living in more remote areas, where shopping facilities may not be so diverse, want to be able to shop online for quality products. We see this as part of the high level of Customer Service we aim to provide by allowing people in these places an easy task in getting what they want. We can organise delivery of the products you chose quickly with a little hassle to you as possible.


Presentation

Before building our website, we had a look around at what other sites did to sell their products. We noticed that generally, the best looking sites were those that were not selling anything and those that were selling didn’t look particularly aesthetically pleasing. It might be argued that if you’re buying online, at the end of the day, you’re there to buy a product and it doesn’t matter what it looks like.

In response to such an argument, we ask ‘Where would you prefer to make your purchases – a well presented, neat shop where it is clear that the people who work there care about its appearance like they care about the impressions it gives their customers, or a dirty, tired shop where it does not look like the staff put much effort at all into providing an enjoyable experience for their customers?’ It is a simple thought, but we believe the appearance and presentation of our online store can only facilitate a better experience for the most important person to patronise it – YOU!
